Greenville, MI — Northland-Marvel, the Greenville, MI-based manufacturer of luxury undercounter refrigeration and related products, has broken ground on a factory aimed at bringing together two existing U.S. manufacturing plants, as well as establishing “a world-class innovation, manufacturing, design and customer service center,” the company announced.
The ground-breaking ceremony, conducted in July, was attended by state and city representatives, along with Northland-Marvel distributors and a team from Aga Rangemaster, Northland-Marvel’s parent company.
The factory, corporate officials said, is scheduled to be completed early next year.
“Without question, this new facility will become the nucleus for the latest in technological advances that consumers are demanding,” said Gerry Reda, senior v.p./sales at Northland-Marvel. “Locating the facility in the U.S. meets the desire of American consumers to purchase premium products produced in the U.S.”
According to Brad Stauffer, senior v.p./operations, the company investment in Greenville “is certain to further enhance our position in the premium appliance market – not just in the U.S., but in Europe – and underpin the company’s continued growth long into the future.
“While other companies are electing to move manufacturing overseas, our commitment to the U.S. is stronger than ever,” Stauffer said.
Northland-Marvel, owned by the Aga Rangemaster Group, manufactures luxury undercounter refrigeration products, refrigerator/freezer systems, wine cellars, beverage and wine refrigerators, refrigerated drawers, outdoor refrigerators, ice machines and beverage dispensers, selling under the Northland and Marvel brands.
