Hauppauge, NY — Innovative Stone, a major supplier, fabricator and installer of natural and man-made stone products, has been ranked by Crain’s New York Business as the 10th largest female-owned company for the New York area in 2008, the company announced.

“It is such an honor to be recognized by Crain’s NY Business, especially since our company operates in a largely male-dominated stone business,” commented Karen Pearse, CEO and founder of Innovative Stone.

Crain’s New York Business ranks female-owned companies in all types of industries, and then bases the findings on the firm’s current year’s projected revenues.

Innovative Stone’s annual profits are expected to reach approximately $200 million, according to the company, which has experienced double-digit annual growth since its founding in 1981.

The company, headquartered in Hauppauge, NY, has operations in the U.S., Brazil, China, Italy, India and Turkey, as well as distribution centers in several major U.S. cities.
