Armstrong Cabinets Wins 2nd J.D. Power Award

Addision, TX — Armstrong Cabinet Products has ranked highest overall for the second consecutive year among those cabinet manufacturers compared in J.D. Power and Associates’ “2008 Cabinet Satisfaction Study,” the company announced.

Armstrong last month said it received the highest numerical score among cabinetry brands in the study, which found that while aspects of cabinet design and performance are important to consumers, the ordering and delivery process is key to customer satisfaction.

“All of our 1,200 cabinet employees are honored to receive this prestigious tribute two years in a row,” said Robert Cohen, president and CEO of the Addision, TX-based Armstrong Cabinet Products.

Cohen added that the award “demonstrates the company’s continued commitment to put the customer first.”

The J.D. Power study measures customer satisfaction with cabinets based on evaluations in five categories (in order of importance): ordering and delivery (34%); price (20%); operational performance (19%); design features (15%); and warranty (12%).

The 2008 Cabinet Satisfaction Study was based on responses from 1,273 consumers who purchased new cabinetry within the previous 12 months. The study was conducted between March and April 2008, Armstrong Cabinet officials noted.
Survey participants either installed the cabinets themselves or with help from family and friends; hired an independent contractor or remodeler; used an installation service provided by a home improvement retailer, or used an installation service provided by the product manufacturer, Armstrong added.
